October has really gotten away from me. Here it is less than a week from halloween and I still haven’t even finished decorating.
We have made good progress on the tombstones for the yard though.

Chase glued the stands on this morning, so they should hopefully be ready to go in the yard tonight. Along with the other yard decorations.
Boy I had to go back to the last post and see what I’d had done on Frankie’s costume on Monday. I got a LOT done on that between Monday and thursday.

Once I got past the bodice it was smooth sailing.
Can’t wait to see pics of it on someone it actually fits!! I had Chase try it on a few times – I needed to see the sleeves on real arms LOL.
Poor Luna was so attention starved.
Everytime I came up to work on the dress, she was all over me, because she was trapped in there with Skye here. Sometimes she would lead me to the door, like, “let me out!” – I’d open the door and she’d see Skye downstairs and immediately nope back inside LOL. Thankfully my sewing room connects to the laundry room by the backstairs so she had plenty of access to her litter box and food without having to lug it all upstairs.
So like I said, finished up the dress Thursday which left the weekend free to work on the tombstones. Saturday night was date night!
We tried a new place for dinner… then Dune in imax!!
AHHH I’ve been waiting for it!! It was perfect. I mean other than the fact it’s just part 1 but it was perfect. The casting is perfect, the visuals were perfect, the music was perfect, it was all I ever wanted. Now we need part 2.
While at dinner we saw a bachelorette party bar-hopping, and they were all in full costume. That gave me an idea. Chase has to work next weekend but I said we should go out for dinner again next saturday night and go out in costume. I think he’s agreed to it – bringing Janet Snakehole and Burt Macklin out of retirement LOL.
Speaking of him agreeing to things, I floated the idea of a Duke Leto and Lady Jessica costume duo for dragoncon next year. Maybe?? I don’t want to make another men’s suit but I will if he’ll say yes.
Last night I pulled out all the costumes I need for this week.
Thursday is the star wars event and I pulled out amidala for that… although I’m on the fence about going. I really wanted to but Chase just remembered he agreed to shoot a play that night. I’m not sure about driving in the Amidala wig. I could switch to Leia but I dunno. I’m thinking about it. Either way I found a snap on Amidala that needs repaired so I’ll do that tonight.
I think I’m going to wear Merida halloween night for handing out candy. Gotta fix the belt brooch.
Tightrope Walker is for the disney exhibit Sunday. Just needs a steaming.
